What Really Happened at Our First Palaestra Camp in Koh Samui

More Than a Camp - A Performance Immersion in Koh Samui

When we launched Palaestra, we had one obsession:

Build something serious.

Not a padel holiday.
Not a social clinic.
Not two hours of drills followed by cocktails.

But a structured, immersive performance environment — where players improve measurably while living at a premium standard.

In February, in Koh Samui, we ran our very first official Palaestra camp.

Here’s what actually happened.

The Environment

Koh Samui. Thailand.

Players stayed in a 5-star beachfront hotel.
Daily training took place at Padel Tropical.
Recovery included structured massage protocols, ice bath, and pool access.

This was not casual.

This was designed.

The format

Each day followed a professional rhythm:

08:30 – Pick-up
08:50 – Dynamic warm-up
09:00–11:00 – Technical development
13:00–15:00 – Match integration & tactical application
Evening – Recovery + beachfront dinner immersion

Over 7 training days, players completed:

• 24 hours of structured padel
• 12+ hours of competitive match-play
• Individual 1v1 coach rotations
• Systematic video feedback sessions
• Daily recovery treatments

This was closer to a pre-season training block than a holiday.

The Coaching Philosophy

Training harder is not enough, you need to recover smarter. Our program includes:

“Most players wait years to feel the improvement you can unlock in just one week with the right training environment.”
  • Ice baths & sauna for faster muscle recovery
  • Yoga and stretching for mobility and injury prevention
  • Professional massages to keep your body fresh

the immersion factor

What surprised many participants was how much progression happened outside the court.

Evening dinners weren’t just social moments.

They became tactical debrief sessions.

Conversations about:

• Match psychology
• Decision-making
• Professional routines
• Tournament preparation

The “Live Like a Pro” concept stopped being a slogan.

It became a lived rhythm.

Train. Recover. Analyse. Repeat.

Who Palaestra Is For

Palaestra is not for beginners.

It’s not for players looking for light entertainment.

It is for players who:

• Want measurable improvement
• Appreciate structured coaching
• Enjoy intensity
• Value premium standards
• Understand that progression requires immersion

If you are comfortable being challenged — this is your environment.

What We Learned

This first camp validated our vision.

The combination of:

• High-level coaching
• Tactical depth
• Video analysis
• Recovery integration
• Premium accommodation
• Limited group size

creates a powerful ecosystem for progression.

And we’re only refining it further.

What's next

Our next Koh Samui camps are already filling.

We keep groups intentionally small to preserve intensity and coaching quality.

If you’re ready to:

• Train 4 hours per day
• Receive individual feedback
• Integrate match-play correctly
• Experience a true performance immersion

Applications are now open.

Spots are limited.
